Alexander Mehler, Alexander Henlein and Andy Lücking will present work on “Virtually Restricting Modalities in Interactions: Va.Si.Li-Lab for Experimental Multimodal Research” and on “The Gesture–Prosody Link in Multimodal Grammar” at MMSYM 2024.

Andy Lücking and Jonathan Ginzburg (Université Paris Cité) will present their work on multimodal clarification interaction at the 21st International Congress of Linguists (ICL). ICL is organized only once every five years and is the meeting place par excellence for international linguistics.

The presentation extends work on verbal repair and explores the potential for multimodal clarification by proposing constructions that enable formal descriptions.
